Pure Audio Blu-ray as AES specification

The Information Document on the Pure Audio Blu-ray as recently published by the Audio Engineering Society (AES) represents a milestone for msm-studios, Munich. Summarising the main features of the Pure Audio Blu-ray, its development and technical innovations – in particular its screenless navigation – the Information Document AES-21id-2011 sets a worldwide directive for the authoring of Pure Audio Blu-rays (http://www.aes.org/standards/blog/?start=11).

After an elaborate and intensive phase of R&D the first Pure Audio Blu-ray was authored by msm-studios in 2009. Since then the list of productions has ever been growing. With numerous releases on labels such as 2L, Beggars Group, Stockfish Records, Eurovideo, Farao Classics or Albany Records, and many more in the pipeline, the Pure Audio Blu-ray has been gaining a strong foothold with record labels and the end consumer market.

07/12/10 – Pure Audio Blu-ray: authoring made fast and easy

With the ‘Pure Audio Creator’ developed by msm-studios, sound engineers and license owners can do the authoring of Pure Audio Blu-rays on their own

The Pure Audio Blu-ray developed by msm-studios and Lyndberg Lyd gains more and more importance within the music market. To provide sound engineers and license owners who do not have programming soft- and hardware with this outstanding new audio format, msm-studios offer now the ‘Pure Audio Creator’, thus providing Audio Blu-ray authoring via internet tools. All the user needs to do is to upload his audio files, determine the design and the necessary information such as track titles, and within short time will have a master for replication. Without the purchase of new equipment or software this high resolution format is now available for everybody at an affordable price. The Pure Audio Creator has already been presented by end of November at the Tonmeister Convention (Tonmeistertagung) in Leipzig, Germany, and met enthusiastic interest. Stefan Bock, managing director of msm-studios: “With the launch of our Pure Audio Creator, programming is so much easier. We can offer this format now in a much broader range, and our customers will benefit from a more effective and faster production process.”
